This is a graduate course in Information Systems offered by Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná and supported by researchers from several Latin American universities to build on the agenda of the Latin America and Caribbean Chapter of the Association for Information Systems, which is focused on improving the quality of the research in the field that is developed in the region. The intent of the seminars is to provide graduate students and researchers in IS with solid grounds on which to build their research in the field.

The seminars are planned as a space of fruitful discussions on contemporary topics on Information Systems, connecting people from the Latin American Information Systems community.

As in 2023 AMCIS, the Americas Conference on Information Systems will take place in Panama, we hope many Latin American researchers will submit papers to that conference. The seminars will aim at providing the participants with the skills to write informed research reports that can be published as conference papers. We target at a substantial increase in the number of academic papers by Latin Americans submitted and selected to be presented at AMCIS Panama.
